Service Suspended cant get hold of customer servic

I received an invoice from MTN end of last month which was way out of line with my normal expenditure. I contacted customer care on 17 November to request itemised billing. I received a response almost a month later on 11 December. On the 12 December I received an e-mail to inform me that I would receive the itemised bill within 24 hours. It is now the 17 December. I have not received the itemised bill that was requested but I have been charged for it on my latest invoice. My cellphone service has also been suspended obviously for non payment why was I not contacted before service was suspended to sort this out???
