Terrible service

My ADSL line, managed by Afrihost, has now been down for 8 days. I understand that things are slow this time of year, but that does not exempt them from contacting me to update me. I have not received a single call from them during this time without first having to contact them. I am still waiting for a call back after I left a message last week Tuesday through their live chat support. One of their call center people happily told me that a Telkom technician had been assigned later that same Tuesday. I found out on Thursday that this was a blatant lie. Today, the person I spoke to struggled to find the fault via the reference number, then asked me to confirm an e-mail address I had never heard of. He then proceeded to tell me that he could not find the fault and it must have been closed. After losing my temper, he suddenly found the fault.

If I wanted terrible service and the opportunity to be to, I would have stuck with Telkom directly. At least they do not loudly claim to have excellent customer service and then drop the ball when you need them.
