SMART 100 PLAN... OR IS IT?

I recently signed a Smart 100 package contract. On signing I repeatedly asked the Telkom staff member that under no circumstance was the phone to be used over and above the package deal and she assured me that the package was capped and would need top up to be purchased should the need arise. The deal is R269/month. Unfortunately I have now received a bill for R768.50. On inquiry a voice charge of R499.50 has been added to my bill. I called customer service, the query was logged and was told someone would contact me within the week. I sent a letter detailing everything to two email addresses found on the website, ZERO RESPONSE. Ten days later I sent a letter notifying them of my intention to cancel the contract and seek damages. Finally! An email. And a call, however, they tell me that at no time was there any instruction given to cap the package?! I don't want the lady at my local Telkom office to get into trouble, but I don't want to pay for something I never asked for. I'm told that it will be changed to how I initially requested, but still have to pay. I've asked for costs related to cancellation of the contract which I'm sure will be exorbitant. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
