Earlier today I had the UN-believable experience of dealing with the Vodacom Collections department. After being sent from terminations to collections and back again several times, I finally got to chat to Phillip. Phillip explains to me that my bill for this month is R29k. Wanting an explanation for the high bill I asked Phillip to check what my current invoice is to which he responded R2.2k. This gave me some comfort as this means that the high bill was not due to calls or excessive data usage.
I than explained to Phillip that I recently had a few lines prematurely terminated. Phillip explained to me that I was being invoiced for the period of the contract plus the outstanding handset instalments. To which I responded please get terminations on the line since it is clear that terminations have terminated the incorrect lines and hence the high bill.

I need a person from retentions to check which lines have been cancelled and reconcile it to the proof of payment that I have sent to retentions.

Furthermore I find it disgusting that this level of service is acceptable. Thanks to Phillip for ending a 15-year relationship with Vodacom.
