Cell C doesn't care!!!

I was retrenched in September and had no knowledge of possible retrenchment at the time of taking out my contract in July. I called Cell C in November and advised them that I was retrenched and did not receive a package. I clearly stated that I am liable for the contract and have no intention of cancelling it but that until I manage to find employment I will not be able to make the total premium required. After speaking to Candice in the Retrenchments department, I emailed all the required documents on the 6 Nov 2013. I heard nothing for weeks and when I called to follow up (something I shouldnt have to do), I was told there was a note on the system saying that I need to settle the contract in full. No one had the decency to call me and tell me. If I have been retrenched and am doing everything I can to find employment but have no funds... how can cell c expect me to settle it in full. I am not denying I am liable or not willing to pay the money, all I was asking was for a payment arrangement until I could resume full payments but cell c dont care.

I took a chance on cell c and I will never recommend them to anyone!! VERY bad service. I expected cell c to contact me and sort it out
