Taking too long!

On Thursday after a thunderstorm I was left without a telephone line. I immediately reported the issue to Telkom who logged a call after testing the line and finding that it was indeed faulty. After three days the only progress has been that the fault report eventually made its way to their technical repair division. In a day and age where this infrastructure not only supports voice telephony but data as well, I find it unacceptable that it should take so long to start investigating a fault (don't they work on weekends?). Not only is it highly inconvenient, but paying R25/day for a service you do not have access to, quickly starts to add up! Not only have I already lost R75 worth of ADSL/telephony service, but I've had to purchase additional cellular data to be able to work over the weekend!
