Phone on specials page ordered one month ago

I ordered a Samsung Note 2 (new contract) in October, as advertised as a special which expired at the end of October.
I was told that I would need to wait up to 2 weeks to be supplied. It is now more than a month and I have not heard.
I need this particular phone, as I would like to use its handwriting to text function. I cannot afford the new Note 3. I waited nearly a year to see the price coming down to what is affordable to me.
I am not sure whether I should cancell this contract and look for a different phone at a different supplier, or whether I should just hang on and wait. I have made numerous attempts to get to discuss this with MTN and have been rudely disillusioned by the lack of customer communication. The MTN staff have always been helpful, but there does not seem to be any easy way to get to speak to management. I have been given email adresses, usually of the particular staff member and various phone numbers, the last for "management at Canal Walk", but that ended up being a call centre line to Durban, where the person parried my attempts to get to be able to speak to, write to or otherwise get in touch with management.
I'd like to finalise this issue somehow.
