Advertised iPhone 5c with LTE has no LTE

We bought two new iPhone 5c smartphone that supports LTE (As MTN advertised). LTE was not enabled on the sim cards. We phoned MTN and asked them to activate LTE which they did (a second call confirmed).

But yet living in and LTE zone, having LTE enabled on the phone And using LTE sims. We still had no LTE coverage on the iPhones, but when you swap the sim to an LTE supported iPad it has full LTE coverage.

The first call to 1555 technical support I was told to take the phones into an MTN repair shop. ( got the phones on 27-11-2013.

In a second call to 1555 I was told that some of the iPhones does not support LTE. And if that is the case they wont be able to fix it.

We bought the phones for the LTE functionality now I am being told that on some devices i cant use LTE. I would like this problem resolved as [URL Removed] states that all of the Apple iPhone 5c model A1529 supports LTE band 3 (MTN LTE band) and also that it supports MTN LTE ( [URL Removed] )
