I have a contract with MTN which is supposed to give R100 airtime, 25 sms's and 125MB data each month. To date, I have received no data. On Tuesday I went to the Cavendish branch to make a few queries:
1. Why I am receiving no data for my contract. 2. Why my phone says no internet access when on 3G or Edge. Saajidah was very abrupt, and offhand, when she told me the sim card was old and I would need to pay R156 for new one. When I took out the contract this was not explained or specified. Virgin Mobile charges R1 for a sim swop, and when we explained this to your staff, they gave a filthy smirk and said there's nothing we can do. This is ridiculous. Secondly, I received the query sheet from MTN saying the query is resolved and I am receiving my 1G volume bundle, which is a bundle I purchase monthly. My ref:2966S21. Can someone please contact me ASAP to resolve this BLUNDER and POOR SERVICE. HOW CAN MTN JUSTIFY A R156 FOR A R1 SIM CARD?! It's clearly a money making scheme. If we ported from a different network we would've been given a free sim card, why now that you're locked in a 2 year contract must you be exploited?
