On the 2nd of November my mother passed away. I called Vodacom to inform them of her passing and I was told that I would get the outstanding amount sent to me. 4 days later I called back because I still hadn't heard anything and I was told that there were 3 options to sort out the contract my mom had. 1. to take over the contract, 2. to go on to prepaid with it or 3. to pay the complete amount to cancel it. I told the erson I didn't want to caryy on with the contract. Again I was told a letter would be sent to me. Still nothing was received.
another 4 days I called back - the person I spoke immediately sent theme the letter itht he full amount owing which is R7000.00!! As I can't afford to pay the R7000 I went to the Alberton branch - who then told me that what Iwas told was totally incorrect. The lady then called someone in retentions who then told her, the number had already been cancelled, and they don't allow the contract to be changed. All I had to do was to send an affidavit from the police station stating that my mother is deceased (even though the death certificte says this) and that I am not supposed to pay a CENT. What on EARTH is going on!!
