Vodacom
No Service is NOT my problem

Telecommunications

On the 21st October I reported to Vodacom that we were really battling with signal in our home that we had just moved to. We literally have no data or cell network. 2 weeks later a technician came out to test and it was found that we are in a very congested spot. I was asked what Wi-Fi model we used, details were given. Today I got a call and I was told that I would need to get a LTE Wi-Fi Model. My question was why should I be buying another model when the one I bought is 8 months old? We have 2 smart phones and the wifi in the house and none of them work, inside or outside the house. I spend around R4000 a month on these devices, again why should I be paying a further more than R2000 for an LTE Modem? I was told they needed to check the terms and conditions for moving house? I was not aware that I needed Vodacom permission to move? I was told they would SEE if I could exchange the current modem. The thing is I don't want to be running a modem 24/7 as that would cost me more in data every month. I want my devices to work properly when they should work, and not have to deal with congestion issues where I live! At this point it woudl probably be best to change to another network.
