I applied for a contact with MTN (200 Anytime) on the 28/10/2013, which was got activated on the 1/11/2013. Upon activation I was told that I would get a pro rata of the units, however if I use them I will owe MTN money, which I found odd. I was informed that my free units will only be loaded on the 13th of each month and that I will receive my first statement after a full month with the phone. On the 05/11 I received a call from a rude call center agent who demanded my ID number or Banking details, in which I told her I can't just give her those details, can we at least do verification questions for me to feel safe. She responded by telling me its either my ID number or banking details, and I told her that won't happen, this was suppose to be a welcome call. On the 7/11 I received an SMS stating my credit limit is R3039.00, I was surprised because I have never agreed to such, I thought maybe this is how MTN does business, they decide on behalf of customers without their consent. Today 19/11 I received a statement (13/10 - 13/11) for R470.01.I'm being billed for 13 days, in which no calls where made, but made usage of Whatsapp & data. My address on the statement is also incorrect!
