I bought a Nokia N720 of Vodacom from Edgars on 30 June 2013. I have made 3 complaints about the phone. In September the phone stopped charging and I sent it for repair at Cresta (9257513). I collected the phone on 5 October 2013 and on 28 October 2013 the phone stopped working. I sent it for repair (9336878), I asked Vodacom to replace the phone in accordance with the provision of the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa. They replaced a component on the phone and I collected the phone on 14 November 2013 and they did not return my wireless battery charger. On 15 November, I discovered that some of the keys were not responding. I sent back the phone back for repair (9377593). I'm petrified with the level of incompetence that has been shown by Vodacom and its employees, how can a phone from repair surely pass all the quality assurance processes and only work for less than 24 hours. The fact that I have been incurring cost travelling back and forth from their division in Cresta does not seem to bother them. Do I have to bear costs that are beyond my creation? Surely the gvt must intervene and stop these big companies from fleecing innocent citizen their hard earned cash.
