Efusing to fix my phone

I have a contract phone with MTN it's a Samsung S3 I have my device 11 months and the device is not working so I send it in to MTN and they send my phone back telling me the phone could not be fixed and there is nothing they can do. The reason they gave me is that the device has moist on the bored and they won't fix it. So I told them my phone got wet and they told me that it gets wet when holding the device in your hand and pocket it gets moist but the thing is my phone still goes on but then after a while the phone goes off. So if my phone got wet then it would not be even going on! Now the people at MTN telling me that I must just pay for a phone.
