Poorest customer service

During 2012, my son Rudie Tulleken, lodged a complaint on this website w.r.t. MTN contract (report dated 11/07/12 @ 14:52). He took out a contract for data and received a small modem. From the get-go he had problems. The modem does not work and had not been working since May 2012. The store in Empangeni where he opened his contract closed down soon after he took the contract and none of the other MTN suppliers wanted to take the modem back and exchange it or had it repaired. Catch 22! Since then Rudie had endless problems and we even had to employ the services of an attorney as the are threatening with legal action BUT THEY DO NOT GIVE PROPER CUSOMER CARE!!! Keep on receiving sms messages but no one can sort out their mess! I also had problems with MTN during 2007. They did respond to his complaint on hello peter on 13/07/12 but nothing after that. This is the most pathetic company I have ever dealt with! how can you sell something but cannot provide after care?
