Cannot change contract

I was at MTN Cape Gate on 27/10/2013 to take out a MTN Anytime 200 subscription for the Samsung Galaxy xCover2 for R229 pm (R200 airtime, 200SMS, 200Mb, 30 min MTN to MTN, as well as the October spring special of 100 Mb added data). I applied for an open line. On 28/10/2013 I was infom me that the contract was approved and that I can collect the phone. I enquired about the TopUp option, and was told that it would be R249. I asked to be changed to TopUp. After work, I went to the store, and noticed that my invoice said R269 pm and that I will only be receiving 75 Mb of data per month. I enquired about this, and was told that with the TopUp option, my SMS and data would revert to the MTN Anytime 100 package amounts. After three store visits and several phone calls, I was told I can only revert back to the open line after three months. I don't understand this, as I acted within my seven day period. If I knew this was going to happen, I would have cancelled the contract immediately. I contacted MTN support on MTN Active with my query, and they just closed my query without even contacting me. Is this how MTN treat its loyal customers? Appalling!
