I have recently purchased a Telkom contract and am awaiting installation of my land line. This morning I received a phone call, which I assume was regarding the installation. The person never introduced themselves and his colleagues were making such a noise in the background that I could not hear him. I kindly requested him to ask his friends to quiet down so that I can hear him after which he dropped the phone in my ear. I have also not received a call back.

This is pathetic service which bears testimony of how backwards some departments have gone and the complete disregard some employees have for clients. If you can't even instill proper etiquette, how can I be assured of any sort of service that is remotely satisfying going forward.

This is very worrying and not acceptable to say the least. I am starting to regret ever signing this contract!!
