I have been an MTN customer for over 4 years now, i currently have 4 contracts with MTN, 4th being the newest contract received last week. I was happy with MTN service till today where i have been on the call with the call centre on 1555 for 3 days because my internet is not working on my phone, the sim card is a brand new sim card i received with the new phone, since i put the sim in, no internet access! I have 300MB data, it says 3G and LTE are available but no internet access. I was told to call 1555, i did so, then go through whole bunch of troubleshooting to no avail, the agent says he will call me back... No Call back, I call again speak to a different agent who then tells me that the sim hasn't been activated yet and i have to wait 24 hours! 24 hours goes by still nothing, call again. New agent tells me to take my phone to a shop for REPAIRS!!! ITS NOT THE PHONE, i swopped another sim in the same phone and it worked! so i call again speak to a different agent! tells me there is a known issue with some sim cards and that mine is in the list to get fixed but has no ETA, then tells me end of the day!! i am digusted The worst Service so far and this is the reason i Left Vodacom.
