Vodacom
NEW 9900 Already Damaged - Manufacturers Problem

Telecommunications

Last Saturday My phone was workiing fine.. no issues. Then it suddenly turned off for no reason. I charged and charged the battery and it would not come on. I changed the battery to a different one - still did not come on. I put in a bowl of rice for a couple of days to eliminate the fact of any liquid in the phone as this is Vodacoms "FAMOUS EXCUSE" even though your phone is no where near water!! So I googled and googled my issue, and I kept on coming to the same conclusion as many other 9900 users were compalining about. A Manafacturar Problem with 9900's turning of and never coming back on. I work for MTN and this is the same issue from these from phones. Vodacom want to charge me over R4000 to repair it!! That is insane and unfair on me.
These handsets are extremely expensive and I paid cash for it. It also still under warranty!!! I am extremely angry as this is a Manufacturer problem. Futhermore I requested proof of the liquid damage, and no one has sent me an email as promised from Tygervalley!!! This is unfair to the consumer and I stuck with Vodacom for many many years even though I work for MTN. This has put a bitter taste in my mouth! I would like feedback on this pls
