Pathetic Repair Pricing

Telecommunications

I booked in my bb 8520 on the 02/01. A few days later i was advised of a repair charge of R502.23.I enquired about the charge/what it entailed, as my phone is within the 24mnth warranty period. I was informed that the labour charge entail;Assessment made on the device&battery, theSoftware upgrade&30 Day Workmanship warranty on similar in faults. I wasnt really impressed, bt agreed to the repair, also i was offered a slight discount. A few days later I was informed that my phone was ready, soon after that im told that thephone froze while testing&that it needs to go back to the repair team. They then fixed what they thought was the problem, tested the phone again, yet the problem pesisted. I then received a text to say that my phone requires a higher level of repairs&has been sent to Jo'burg. On Saturday I get a text stating that the repair charge is now R855 due to liquid damage detected on the handset. How is this possible, nearly 4wks later? So they did not pick this up initially? I thought its the first thing they test? Liquid damage is obviously their excuse to charge! There was no liquid damage the first time round, so if there is now they caused it!
