I bought a sony xperia T just before christmas and used it for the first time on new year"s eve.two days into its use surprisingly it became very slow to download whats app and i called mtn help desk on 1555 and the consultant asked me to remove the battery.since its so complicated to remove the battery, i used a teaspoon to open the cover which resulted in some scratches on the cover and as a result of this my warranty became null and void.i took the phone back to mtn and they send it away and they returned the phone unrepaired citing unauthorised technician worked on the phone and physical damage.what i dont understand is why would removing the battery render this phone to be beyond economic repair as they claim because nothing else was really done to that phone except to open the cover.i have other accounts with mtn and am considering not paying for this phone until i feel that all the necessary steps have been taken to try and help me rather than not just having the phone repaired because of the physical damage rendering the warranty void.
