After posting a complaint on Hello Peter, Vodacom responded on 24/10/2013. The service consultant reassured me that he would sort out the problem and get back to me asap. This did not happen and another week went by. I eventually received a phone call from Bronwyn at the Vodacom Direct updgrades dept on 31/10/2013. Once again I brought to her attention the apalling service that I have been receiving and highlighted the fact that I urgently needed my new handset as my current one is giving endless problems. She said she would escalate the matter and try and have the phone delivered the next day. Another few days have passed and still no phone or response from Vodacom. I have been a loyal customer for a few years now and find this whole situation unacceptable and shocking to say the least. I expect this matter to be escalated and sorted out today still or else I will take my business elsewhere.
