Five promises to get a call-back, but nobody calls

Around 10 October I called Vodacom to update my credit card info. On 26 October I called again to ensure that all the information was up to date. I was promised that someone would contact me within 24 hours. After 48 hours of getting no response from them, I called back and was told that I would be called back within 24 hours. Afterwards I received two text messages confirming that someone would call me within 24 hours. After seven days (2 November) I called back again and spoke to Barlin who promised to call me back after resolving the issue. Forty eight hours later I am still waiting for someone to call me back. In the meantime I have been told that my payment was returned by my bank, and this solely because Vodacom failed to follow up on their promise to call me back to ensure that my details are updated on Vodacom's system. This isn't a matter of bad customer service. This is a matter of NO customer service. I've been a loyal client of Vodacom since the late 90s and I've never felt so disgusted with their call centre as I'm feeling now.
