Vodacom
Faulty trackpad

Telecommunications

I have purchased a new blackberry curve 9300 6months ago and its still under vodacom manufacturers warranty.starting from nov2012 i started experiencing prblms with a trackpad that does not work and therefore making a phone useless.on 19/01/13 i took the phone to vodacare in durban field street.i received smses informing me tht the phone is taken 2advanced centre 4assesment, i however was shocked to be told that i have to pay R1140 for a replacement phone with 3months warranty as the current phones entire keypad is water damaged.i dd not at any time expose the phone to water and i am appaled by such an assesment.the keypad has been operating just fine with the exclusion of a trackpad.i have paid R2100 to buy this phone and took care of it and i have no understanding as to why i have to fork out additional 1140 to get a phone that wil eventually give me the same prblm.this model is notoriously known to have a problematic trackpad and i refuse to be given a lousy excuse while being robbed off my hard earned Rand and offerred a rudiculous deal.i have in the meantime requested that the faulty phone be returned lest i be charged handling fees while the phone is with them.regrets for days
