I have recently cancelled my adsl line with Telkom, when I got the surprise that I had to give 30 days notice to do this. I have cancelled an account previously where I did not have to do this. This is completely unacceptable as Telkom is forcing me to pay for a service that I no longer use.
I do however understand if they inform me of this requirement by means of a notification of some kind, but the fact that this has not been done is the problem. I would've happily let Telkom know in advance if I knew about this.
