Unacceptable service

My service on two cellphones were suspended, the debit order went off on Friday 25/10, after phoning customer care numerous times I was told 29/10 to get a bank statement and email it to them so they can see the payment actually went off and escalate reconnecting the lines, why do I have a debit order, and why is it my responsibility to supply proof of payment, or wait a week and a half till they can see the payment reflecting, other companies see debit orders reflecting immediately or max two hours later. What is their problem?
