I changed banks and paid my account cash (EFT). I have been told when enquiring telephonically that I cannot cancel my debit order, as long as my account is paid - no problem. I received an sms notifying that I am in arrears with R70. I contacted them as I have paid the amount due on my statement, and have then been told that it is an additional fee charged for my unpaid debit order and my cash payment was received after the due date. I've paid the R70. The next month - same story and I decided to change the debit order to avoid paying these extra R70 each month and arranged with them to deduct the R70 from my next debit order. The next day my service has been suspended, conveniently on a Friday afternoon. I made the cash payment of R70 at a Cell C shop immediately, and only one of my 2 lines was re-activated. On enquiring, I was told that it take up to 48 hours for re-activation and also no mention of my debit order arrangement on their system, although you are being told that calls are recorded! A week-end without communication for a loyal client for over 10 years with no bad payer history is not appreciated at all!!! Makes one feel to change your service provider...
