Why pay for bad service?

I have been a client of Vodacom for longer than I can remember. Not only do I have a cellphone through them, but a 3G contract for the past 4 years as well. About two months ago, my cellphone was and I had to go through the schlep of doing a sim swop and having my blackberry service deactivated. Three weeks later, I bought another blackberry and instructed Vodacom to reactivate my blackberry service, which was done immediately. This weekend, my debit order went off and it was almost R100 more than usual. When I queried it, I was informed that the wrong BIS package was activated on my account, as it should be free with the contract I took out. The lady deactivated the blackberry service and activated the correct blackberry service package. This happened yesterday at 10h44 AM. I could still bbm until about 13h00 and since then, I can only sms and phone. Every person I spoke to, has another story or refers me to another department. It seems that not even the Vodacom staff knows what is going on and in the meantime, I have to pay for sms's where I should be able to WhatsApp or BBM. Why should I pay for what is clearly a case of bad service and negligence?
