Hi there

My cellphone contract expired and I decided, based on the adverts by Telkom 8ta, to move my service provider contract to them. I entered into an agreement with Cole at the Canal Walk branch to a) port my number from my current service provider (which I was told was "absolutely no problem" and b) pay R1399.00 flat rate for unlimited calls and data. That was 3 weeks ago. I have been back to the store on at least 3 occasions and left numerous messages on the 2 telephone numbers given to me - with absolutely no response. I spoke with Wynand last Sunday and he assured me that my inability to send sms's was a porting problem with my previous supplier and that it would be sorted on Monday. I have not heard a word from either Wynand, Cole or Telkom 8ta staff since. I am left having signed a contract where I am going to be performing my obligations (paying in full) and am not receiving the services from Telkom 8ta they agreed to render. This is a breach of the contract and I intend laying a complaint with the Consumer Commission and cancelling the contract should I not hear from the company by close of business on Monday, 29 October 2013.
