I am absolutely appalled that after being into customer care 3 times in the last 3 months that not a single consultant gave me better advice on my data usage on my account. I duly receive smses every month trying to wangle more money out of me to purchase more data but what they have failed to inform me is that as soon as I go over my bundle I am charged R2 per MB (absolutely outrageous!!!). After going into my account and seeing that my bill was already sitting on /- R1238.43 and still counting! I was kindly advised by a very apt Samsung consultant to perhaps change my package to a 1GB package at R130.I have gone 350MB over my data usage and Vodacom want to charge me R700!!! This really seems to be daylight!!! I would like to know why when I initially took out my contract I was not advised of the additional charges. I thought that the CPA was supposed to protect consumers like me by forcing Service Providers to be transparent with me. Vodacom has been anything but Transparent that a consultant from another company had to advise me on what to do. I am absolutely appalled and certainly hope that I will be refunded these astronomical fees for complete neglegence!
