Billed for the incorrect amount

I upgraded and have now seen that my bill is incorrect.
I upgraded to the Sony xperia v mtn200 contract that according to the mtn advertising was R289.
Now my bill is R310.50
I phone mtn on 808 and their statement is that it they can not do anything about that.
I have a contract with MTN and they are charging me the wrong amount and all they can say is that they can not do anything about that?
