I took my phone in for a standard software upgrade. Took Vodacom nearly 6 weeks to come up with every excuse from that the phone was dropped to eventually that it had water damage not to honour the guarantee. Was quoted R500 initially and was later changed to R1600. What for? I asked for a software upgrade that should be done for free on a phone that's still under guarantee. Each time they just say they escalated your querie to the next line of support. I've been a Vodacom customer all my life but it seems that instead of profiding a service they rather out to their customers hard earned money. Clearly Vodacom doesn't care about the man on the street, if you don't spend insanely huge amounts by then they just don't care who you are. Very sad indeed that the service went from the best to the absolute worst.
