I did my Vodacom upgrade last month to Blackberry Z10, thinking it was just a new phone with my old contract number. I received my first bill via e-mail last week and nearly had a heart attack. My bill had jumped from roughly R400.00 p/month to a whopping R2600.00. I immediately phoned the customer care and was told that it runs and updates data continuously in the background of the phone, I was not told any such thing when i phoned and ordered the phone, I told the customer care line that i am a single parent and what on earth would i be wanting something so expensive and to look at my previous bills it just does not make sense i do not have my own business! They then gave me a reference number and said i would be contacted within 24 hours i am still waiting. I went through to Vodaworld in Midrand last week Sunday to explain my dissatisfaction with Vodacom and that i was still waiting for a response, the lady then told me to go to Hello Peter for assistance. In the meantime i have switched off the phone and it is lying unused as i am to worried to use it at such a cost. I was also told that if i cancel i must pay R6732.00 why should i when i have a 21 day grace period?
