I upgraded my contract in June 2013 and was made to believe that I would get a free Blackberry Z10 with my contract, on receiving my bill I noticed that I am paying R150 per month for my device, I went back to the store and spoke to the consultant who helped me with my upgrade, he insisted that he told me I would be paying for the device, which is not true! I get 250mb of data on my contract per month, but by the 10th of the month my data is used up, I only use my phone for BBM, which is supposedly free until end of August 2013, yet somehow my data just disappears! I phoned Vodacom Customer Services and complained about this, a service call was logged, to date no one has called me back. My brand new Z10 went on the blink this weekend, I took it back to the store, they tested the phone and informed me that the phone is faulty and that I have to book the phone in, it will take 7 to 10 days to repair. I was told that they do not provide loan phones, which means I will be without my service for this period of time. I want to cancel my contract with Vodacom as they are in breach of terms, but was told that I must pay R7900 to cancel, how absurd, I must pay for their incompetence!
