I received my July statement from mtn with an amount over R7000. My normal bill is R150 Its a modem and i never use more than the allocated amount. I made numerous phone calls to 808 to find out how they got to such an amount. My account eventually got suspended and after phoning mtn about the problem the 1st time (31 July) they finally sent me a breakdown. One single download was for -R3400 for data of 12GB. My pc doesn't do automatic updates and at the time of those downloads I have locked my office early so i couldn't possibly have downloaded said data. Thereafter for 2 months i got the normal bill for monthly subscription amount and last month (after mtn have suspended the account because i refused to pay until they solved the query) i received another account for R887. If the line is sudpended, how can i use it? Whenever i phone mtn and voice my complaints, they either drop the line while talking to me or promise to get back to me in 2 days, 1 day or half an hour, but then they never do. My main phone line has now been suspended and as it is a business line i am currently unable to receive any business calls, let alone make calls which is causing a huge loss of income.
