Stuck and can't move

I have been a customer of MTN for the last - 10 years with no issues and always recommending them to anybody wanting to change to or just get a new contract.

At one stage I ended up raking up a monthly account that I deemed unnecessary and decided to change my package to a Top-Up where I can limit myself. I decided on a R350 top-up as this should be enough to last me a month. Needless to say, I currently have R1110.00 on my phone which will indicate that I don't need this either.

The catch now is that I can't downgrade to a lower package because according to the consultant at MTN Vaal Mall, I'll forfeit all the money on this account. How is this fair? Have I not already paid for this?

I hereby would then request the following:
- Credit me all the money that's on my account or change it over to normal credit which I can transfer to somebody else to use.
- This will also allow me to change from MTN and port my number to Cell C where I can get better service, less hassles and a package that will suite my pocket better
