Signed up without my permission???

I just got a phone call from one of your consultants telling me that all Vodacom Prepaid customers have to go onto a R 99 per month contract for 24 months. I listened to him because obviously I was being mislead to listen. After his sales pitch I asked him again if this is compulsory to which he replied No, but Vodacom wants it this way. I realized that it was just a cellphone company and I told him no thank you I am blacklisted anyway and then my phone's battery died. Now I get an sms saying Thank you for your interest in Elite Mobile. To opt out sms stop to blah blah. Did this consultant sign me up because I did not ask for anything???
