I have recently damaged my S3 Galaxy screen, so I had taken in my phone for repairs as I had insurance on the phone.

I took my phone in to my nashua mobile and had been told it should take about 20 working days which I was fine with. I inquired about the whole insurance claim worked and was advised that everything will be sorted out between with the repairs and the insurance company directly and I wouldnt need to do anything. I had been paying the insurance as well as the excess buster.

Today I was debited of about R2500. This was an amount reflected in my monthly statement as a Hardware Repair which I had not agreed to. I do not understand why it was not paid through my insurance, nor how the repairs were performed on the phone without advising me what it will be costing me. I have a cellular repairs job card which states "Insurance Claim: Y".

I was not made aware that somehow the insurance is not covering this, nor was I made aware that I will be charged for something (Which I had not consented to) If the insurance was not going to be paying, I should have been contacted for my consent to do a repair at that cost.
