Violation of contract, no prorata, overcharged

I have 2 existing contacts with Telkom mobile. I took out an Ipad mini @279. I got it on the 25th august.
Now I only get debited 2 months later which is all good. However I just got billed 2 full amounts,
When I called though they said that is how 8ta does things.
My contact states nothing about this,
And I should have been billed prorata
