Billed for a cancelled contract

I applied for a contract wich was approved and the phone was delivered to me on the 4th march. I then tried to activate the sim card so I phoned the customer care they put me on hold and after 20 minutes I lost the call, I contacted the customer care again and I was put on hold again for another 30min. I phoned cc again and asked for somebody to call me back to activate my sim, it didn't happen. On the 6th of March a debit order has gone off from my account but my sim was still inactive. I phoned cc and told them to cancel my contract and send the courier to fetch the phone, wich they did a few days later. On the 3rd of April (not sure about the exact date) another debit order has gone off from my account. On the 3rd of May another debit order has gone off, I phoned the cc again they put me on hold for the retention department I was holding for about 30 min when I canceled the call. A few days later I phoned again the same story was put on hold and after 30 min I canceled the call. About a month later I phoned again spoke to 4 different people and I had to explain same story everytime eventaully spoke to supervisor, and he would follow up didn't get back to me.
