Insurance Claim

My contract with MTN stipulates that my mobile phone is covered for a specific amount in-case of a loss, I was mugged a couple of weeks back and reported my case at a police and acquired a case number. It took me forever to report my claim to MTN due to their unreliable call center so I had to go to the nearest MTN for assistance at Maponya mall to fill out a claim form and Tammy Pillay sent me a letter stating that their only covering me for the current value of the handset at time of loss which is less than the fixed value I insured it for.

I've been with MTN for the past 5 years and I'll make sure to take my business else where after this claim because this wasn't part of my contractual agreement, it even states on my monthly statement that my phone is covered for as specific amount.

Please note that I will escalate this issue to Legal if they're unable to assist me.
