Cell C does not comply with the CPA

I'm now between 3-4 months into my contract and are experiencing problems with the handset such as freezing, battery life not lasting as long as it used to, speaker faulty etc. I entirely understand the process of the phone being booked in, to confirm the faults and I am also aware of what the CPA states about items below 6 months as well. I went into the Phoenix Plaza branch, explained the issues I am currently experiencing with the handset and was told by the Sharon, the assistant manager that it would have to be booked in for repairs which would take between 6-8 weeks. I told her that I am aware that handsets below 6 months, which are defective can either be repaired or replaced according to the CPA. I was under the impression that Cell c follows the CPA, however, Sharon, confirmed that you'll do not follow the CPA. This contradicts a lot of information and I will not be left with a defective handset as I need a handset which functions accordingly! I want to know how to go about canceling this contract, as I have legal understanding of what the CPA states. I would appreciate assistance with this issue. If not, I will take it further.
