Unbelievable charges

In July I was attending a workshop in Zimbabwe. Upon my retun 5 days later I was told by MTN that my roaming charges amounts to R36 641!

I asked for clarification and according to my detailed statement I was on the internet on the 15th of July from 05h11 in the morning for 10 hours 58 minutes!! and again from 16h09 for 2 hours 40 minutes. According to MTN I WAS ON THE INTERNET from 5 in the morning until almost seven at night.
This is absolute rubbish - I was in a meeting on the 15th and accessed the internet (through my phone) only for about 40 minutes. I actively participated in the meeting and I delivered two papers - how is this possible? I have the minutes of the meeting and delegates who can vouch for this. The charges for this ONE DAY (15th) amounts to R11 550.48!!!
My MTN number was forwarded to a Cell C number. Every time someone phoned me I was charged R1.75 for a "call" to 0831000002 - how? why?? I disputed the charges and got cut off. I was reconnected for incoming calls today. MTN operates in Zimbabwe. I would like an explanation.
