SLow connection

My broadband connection reset on the 21ste of every month. As I was trying to open emails today my connection speed all of the sudden dropped to 20kbps. In wich I can't even view a webpage or download a email since it just times out. So I thought it might be a problem in the area. But using my other sim I soon realised that this was not the problem and that I must have been throtteld or something. How can you be throtteld so much that not even emails or simple webpages can be opened. This is the worst service I have ever had since I have been with MTN.I have this unccapped for couple of months now and this is the first that I have this poor service. And can't get any answers from support.
