Cell C
Falsely Advertised product and bad attitude

To whom this may concern:

I signed up on a Cell C special for a 24 month contract for a Galaxy S2 and was informed by the store that this package included 24 month free value pack handset cover. We were told that the good settlement value as at 07/05/2012 was R6076.57. When asked at the time what happens if the Galaxy S2 becomes redundant and we were told it would not be a problem and that should the phone be it would be replaced with another phone of the same value.
After many long calls to the call centre I was advised that it will not be possible to get a new handset valued at over R6000. I then did research and found the Galaxy S4 mini sells at under R6000 at the Cell C store in Norwood.
I have since spoken to Reagan Naidoo from C-Cover who was very unhelpful and not particularly polite who advised me that they will only offer the S3mini which is valued at R3899 which is far below the goods settlement value as mentioned above.
Only today I have been to by Cell C a number of times. It is embarrassing that Cell C are not honourable enough to stand by their word today and their word from the day of inception of the contract
