No contract phone for 1 month - in for repairs!

I signed up a 24month contract with Cell C Cavendish Square in Feb 2012.The contract included C-Cover insurance. Took my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) into the above shop for cracked screen repairs today after being advised to do so by the Cell C customer line. Now here my issues start. First, I get told by the shop assistant that the shop has been offline for 3 days and cannot register my repair request until it goes online again. She then tells me she "thinks it will go on-line again in 3 days". The repair form gets filled in in the meantime.

Next I ask what the turn-around time if for a cracked screen repairs. I get told a minimum of 21 working days (1 month!!). Reason for the long leadtime is given "because the phone has to go to Joburg". I could not believe this because Cell Clinic has a turn-around time of 3 working days for screen repairs and Cell Clinic is an authorised Cell C, Samsung repair centre!! I then ask if I can send my phone directly to Cell Clinic to get my phone back sooner as I need to depart for the UK for two weeks on 01 Feb 2013 on work related business. I then get told if I do that my insurance cover will be voided. Also they have no phones to lend me!! Dissipointed.
