Stop With the intrest

I had an account with Autopage a couple of years ago in 2006. Due to unforeseen circumstances I got behind in payments and then had to close my account. A couple of years later my financial status has changed and I started paying up my outstanding account. I gentlemen phoned me the one day and said if I pay R 1000 in today my account will be closed and I can then concentrate on my other outstanding debt. A couple of months later I was contacted by another debt collecting company saying I still owe another R 5400 on the account that I thought has been paid up. This was a huge shock to me as my original account was R 5500 outstanding.
I receive numerous calls from this VVN company and none of them listen or they refuse to help. Please listen to the so called recorded phone calls. I have told them I will pay my account once I have received my breakdown as I was told the R 1000 was my last payment. All these incompetent people do is send me a new account with interest charged on the old account. My account is now over R 6300. This is not fair. Not once have I refused to pay I just don't want to pay more than I should.
Auto Page is also no where to be found. What gr8 service!
