In May I was offered a ADSL Internet contract from Telkom telephonically, but because I was on prepaid this was not possible. I also have a Internet Contract with Vodacom. To my surprise I received a phone call from a lawyer demanding that I must pay an outstanding amount. I was never aware that my contract was changed from a prepaid to a Normal. When I complained about this I was informed that I cannot be helped.
I believe that Telkom changed the contract without my consent and still have the nerve to defame my name by handing me over without me knowing that I have a normal contract with them, In the past my yearly subsidy was deducted from my prepaid vouchers that I purchased. When I complained about this and demanding that my old prepaid contract should be reinstated I was informed in an arrogant way that the Supervisor will contact me as soon as returning from the loo. I am still waiting 2 days later. I believe I was away from a economical prepaid contract. I was informed I can go back on prepaid for R80.00 a month whilst I paid R150.00 a year previously.
