Y unauthorised cellphone subscriptions

Beware of companies or individuals that trick you by sending you a sms and when you open the sms or the attachment, your cell number is automatically subscribed for their services for a daily charge. In my case I was charged R7/day even after I immediately replied to opt out of the service.
I can assume that these companies or individuals are making a killing from these subscriptions and this is from the people who want to subscribe to their services. However, there are those that do not wish to subscribe for these services and even after opting out, still get billed at this daily rate.
Furthermore, when you try and contact these companies or individuals to query about this unauthorized subscription, they are never available and will never get back to you.
My lesson learnt here is to never open attachments from unknown numbers. In retrospect I feel silly for doing this but I hoping that you can learn from my folly and not be a victim.
