Refusal to refund/exchange a defective product

I bought a Blackberry from MTN Shop 170 Pavillion Durban with the hope that it would not disappoint me like the other blackberries I had. Sadly, within two days after purchasing it if failed me. I returned it to MTN with the hope of getting a different brand phone. It was taken back to the supplier for evaluation and the report came back confirming a technical defect. I gave two options to the Manager, a refund of my money or a different brand phone and I would even pay the difference in price. Both were declined. I am virtually forced to take a blackberry phone that I no longer want to be associated with. Reasons for my discontent of the product are clear, I use my mobile phone for business and I can no longer rely on this product. This is poor customer service and is affecting my business as well. I highly discourage people from purchasing their phones from MTN altogether as this proves that they are only interested in making money and not good customer service and superior assistance in resolving issues. I believe that my options are rather very reasonable. Being told that the MTN policy does not permit me to get my money back does not serve me any good!!! This is not
